Pandemic Responders is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to keeping safe frontline nurses, doctors, and first responders who risk illness daily to care for COVID-19 patients. Even with recent governmental PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) shipments, there simply isn't enough to go around. And often smaller hospitals and community care centers are lost in the rush. We fill the gap by raising funds to purchase PPE and deliver it to frontline heroes in need, wherever they are. After Pandemic, we will focus on health education, vaccination events and follow up.
Our biggest difference is speed and PPE quality. We are a team of doctors, researchers and volunteers with specific experience in medical equipment compliance and supply chain management. Thanks to our team, the high quality PPE reaches those in need in days, not weeks.
Our donors make it possible to focus on communities hardest hit by COVID-19, including Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Chicago. 100% of monetary donations go directly towards the purchase and delivery of PPE.
Pandemic Responders in Boston Globe “This group basically takes donations and magically turns them into FDA-approved surgical masks and other PPE. The more they raise, the more they can prevent nurses, doctors and first responders from getting sick” – Boston Globe, April 11, 2020
Since mid-March, we have delivered over 73,000 masks to hospitals around the US and 25,000 masks to south American. We also delivered over 440,000 pieces of PPE to hospitals in China from January to March 2020 at the early stage of COVID-19 breakout.
How is your effort different from federal and state government procuring supplies?
Hospitals and government agencies are trying their best to procure masks. However, demand for PPE far outreaches current supply in the US. In addition, government-level procurement is facing major obstacles and delays due to lack of coordination, bureaucracy and political issues. We are fortunate to have close relationships with many of the factories producing FDA-cleared masks in China. To speed up delivery, we order supplies in smaller batches and deliver them quickly to medical and emergency facilities in need. We hope to bridge any gaps while larger government initiatives are being rolled out so that our frontline heroes can stay safe.
How can we help?
By donating or spreading the word, you are protecting the lives of heroes. Please follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and our website. We are sharing photos & videos of healthcare workers receiving the donated equipment on our website and social media, so you can see your impact on the community.
